On April 20, 2024, a large protest took place in Ballina, County Mayo, by concerned residents of the town. Local residents protest against the decision to accommodate 120 refugees at the Twin Trees Hotel. The protest was broadcast live via the Action-Covid-1984 studio.

On Saturday, April 20, 2024, activists from the Ballina area conducted another “Hold The Line” information campaign. Drivers and pedestrians near the intersection at Bury Street could read important information on information boards and receive information leaflets from activists.

There is clearly an increase in interest among Ballina residents in leaflets and the information they contain. It is very important that people begin to understand what is really happening and what threats are approaching Ireland.
